Title: WCRP ESMO: Advancing Earth System Modelling and Observations
Fanny Adloff (WCRP ESMO International Project Office, DKRZ, Germany)
Abstract:
This presentation provides an overview of the Earth System Modelling and Observations (ESMO) Core Project of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). It will introduce ESMO’s scientific objectives, organisational structure, and key activities aimed at advancing Earth system modelling and observations to improve understanding and prediction of climate variability and change. The presentation will also highlight opportunities for engagement, including participation in ESMO activities, working groups, workshops, and community initiatives, and discuss how researchers can contribute to and benefit from the ESMO network.
